A NOTE ABOUT OUR NEW CHRISTMAS TREES

These trees are proudly built in the USA.
Construction: New Info; I received my new, 7' Slim Deluxe, Aluminum Christmas Tree. WOW. I have sold these for a few months now, but only later had a chance to see one, up close and personal when I ordered one for myself. The "stock" photos do not, nor could not do them justice. I have sold many "vintage" trees over the past few years. I've had all the classic ones from Evergleam, Peco, Star, etc. and while they were all in fair shape for 40+ year old trees, they always had unraveling tinsel on the branches, numerous wrinkled / bent needles, bent branches, worn holes in the trunk allowing the branches to sag, beat-up trunks, bent stands and the occasional missing branch. We would always do a bit of "fix-up" on them, but if the tree had been used a few years and / or had not been packed away carefully, they just always looked fairly "haggard" (no slight meant on the famous, and rightfully so, country singer with the same last name). These new trees are so much better built, and I don't say that about many new versus older constructed things. I am fairly "old school", not because I necessarily pine for the old days, but because I take things apart to see how they're made, as most modern day products are very "disposable" and have been for the past 25 years in my opinion. These new trees are "bomb proof"! The tinsel is not simply thick aluminum foil. It's much thicker, and springier than any originals I've ever seen (ie; less likely to bend or crinkle). The needles are longer and the branches have a very cool, "technical" look about their symmetry. They're not just a string of tinsel, haphazardly wrapped around the branch wire. The traditional way of attaching the needle tinsel to each branch is with cellophane (Scotch) type tape. This is how the "vintage" / original trees were done from the 50's & 60's. As anyone who has owned or owns an old one knows, the tape has long since lost it's adhesive / flexibility properties and are letting branches un-ravel. That will not be the case on our trees. Each branch is double welded, not taped, at each end to avoid the usual problem of the needles unraveling. Also, some older trees had the trunk wrapped with foil. This will commonly be torn / ripped, or un-raveling itself as it was also held by tape, letting the white pine wood show through. The usual fix for this is to strip the foil off, and simply paint them. Our 1.25" diameter, solid wood trunks are completely painted, the entire length to avoid the unsightliness of torn / raveling foil. The "new for 2007" stand is amazing when compared to any original. Instead of simply being "stamped thin steel" that is very light weight and "tippy", this new on looks like machined "billet" aluminum. The thing looks like a part off a Harley. It's very heavy and solid and holds the tree to a much more stable degree than any of the original versions. Extra branches are available, in case you ever damage or lose one. The branches come packed in sturdy cardboard tubes, not the flimsy "butcher paper" that the originals did, thus the branches are much more protected while being stored, and this also expedites packing up for storage at the end of the season in a shipping box that is mean to double as tree storage for many years to come. Finally each tree comes with a 2 year limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
Sorry for being so "long winded", but having now seen one of these in real life, I can't say enough about it.

ATTENTION: DO NOT INSTALL OR USE ELECTRICALLY POWERED STRINGS OF LIGHTS WITH ALUMINUM CHRISTMAS TREES. THIS WOULD PRESENT AN EXTREME, ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD, AND INJURY OR DEATH WOULD BE LIKELY. USING COLOR WHEELS AND COLORED SPOT / FLOOD LIGHTS, PLACED AWAY FROM THE TREE IS THE TRADITIONAL WAY OF ILLUMINATING THEM. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT ANYONE THAT WILL EVER BE SETTING UP THE TREE BE AWARE OF THIS. ALSO WEAR LIGHT GLOVES TO PROTECT YOUR HANDS WHILE ASSEMBLING AND DISASSEMBLING YOUR ALUMINUM TREE. ALSO EYE PROTECTION IS RECOMMENDED WHEN WORKING WITH ANY CHRISTMAS TREE, ALUMINUM OR OTHERWISE TO REDUCE THE CHANCE OF EYE INJURY FROM BRANCH ENDS OR NEEDLES.

Trees and Color Wheels cannot be returned for refunds or credit after Dec 1st. Prior to that, tree and color wheel returns subject to 30% restock fee. Shipping is not refundable. After Dec 1st, trees and color wheels may only be returned for defective warranty replacements and replacement parts, on the rare occasion a part should go bad.

Beautiful original, vintage 6' aluminum 'Sparkler' "Pom-Pom" Christmas Tree with 94 branches. This is an original late 1950's tree with "Pom-Pom" / Fountain style branches.
Includes 94 branches and aluminum tripod stand. Looks great. A very nice medium-large display tree. Very shiny!

Of the original vintage style Aluminum trees, "Pom-Pom's" are the most desired. We have had 20-30, "original" vintage trees over the past 4 years and this is the best example we have had in both original quality and current condition. It comes with it's original box which is in incredible condition. The box still has all it's original paper storage sleeves, which are in near NEW condition and even has the original paperwork. The labeling on the box is still perfectly legible. Even the original store price tag is still intact. The branches, stand and trunk are all in excellent condition as well. The needles are all holding great! The trunk has no breaks or repairs and the original stand is perfect as well. Even though the box and paper work list the tree as having 91 branches, this one has 94 and all with matching sleeves. The tree measures 40" across its widest point at the bottom. This tree in pristine condition and needed no repairs (unlike almost all the rest of the "original" trees we have had). A hard to find treasure!
