We have completely gone through this cleaning inside and out including all contacts, switches and controls. AM & FM tuner re-aligned and front-end adjusted for optimum performance. Relay disassembled and contact burnished. Tuning capacitor thoroughly cleaned. All lamps were replaced including all dial, both A&B speaker indicators, FM Stereo indicator and "Quartz Lock" with new lamps for trouble-free service. We also replaced all the 'Indicator' incandescent lamps with LED's for brightness, cooler running and extended life. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves into static 8 & 4 ohm loads! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! All functions test fine. Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours.

On our test bench, the internal amplifiers of this particular unit  #...1992S, produced a strong 26 volts per channel @ 8 ohms for 84 watts and 22 volts @ 4 ohms for 121 watts per channel via discrete outputs with 1 kHz input. (2x  2SA1075 & 2X 2SC2525 output transistors. Same as Pioneer SX-3700 & Kenwood KR-750)
(DC: L= 15.9mv / R= 17.1mv. Floor noise measured at a low 2.1mv AC)

On our test bench, the internal amplifiers of this particular unit  #...2371, produced a strong 29 volts per channel @ 8 ohms for 105 watts per channel, and 25 volts per channel @ 4 ohms for 156 watts per channel via discrete, outputs with 1 kHz input. (4x B700 & 4X D736)
(
DC output: L channel = 0.8mv & R channel = -0.3 mv. AC draw at idle 0.45A tested)

Receiver has had complete service including all switches, contacts, and controls cleaned for static free performance. Control pot shafts trued. Entire unit completely cleaned inside and out (clean like new). Units AC voltage correctly re-set to 120VAC, North American. All dial, meter, 'Power', 'FM' and 'Stereo' lamps replaced with new unit for trouble-free service. All other indicator lamps checked. We also aligned the tuner front-end for optimum performance as older tuner components have drifted over the years. VERY GOOD TUNER! AM  reception above average, FM reception incredible and IMPECCABLY CLEAN!!! All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves into static 8 & 4 ohm loads! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! All functions test fine. Wood grained vinyl case also in decent shape with a few 'battle scars', but nothing too distracting (see photos).
Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours. All functions test perfectly.

The Pioneer SX-750 was originally rated for 50 watts, but both internal power amplifiers on this unit, #...645S  produced 23 volts at 8 ohms per channel for 66 watts / channel and 19 volts at 4 ohms per channel for 100 watts / channel via discrete, metal cased, TO-3  output devices at 1khz.

We have completely gone through this cleaning inside and out including all contacts, switches and controls. AM & FM tuner re-aligned and front-end adjusted for optimum performance. Numerous parts replaced in driver board and output circuit repairs / upgrades. All new dial lamps (due to the extensive time required to replace the 'quartz lock' indicator it was not addressed. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves into static 8 & 4 ohm loads! No power supply hum of any kind as it was benched at <3.5mV AC. It's dead silent! All functions test fine. Only issues are cosmetic with scuffing to the top bonnet and the ends of the face caps (see lower, right photos above). Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours.

On our test bench, the internal amplifiers of this particular unit  #...0107, produced a strong 29.2 volts per channel @ 8 ohms for 106 watts per channel, and 24.1 volts per channel @ 4 ohms for 145 watts per channel via discrete, outputs with 1 kHz input (2x 2SA1106 & 2X 2SC2579).

We have completely gone through this unit cleaning all switches, contacts and controls as well as cleaning unit inside and polishing face, and knobs. We also aligned the tuner front-end for optimum performance as older tuner components have drifted over the years. All dial lamps replaced. Balance of lamps checked for luminosity. Only lamp that was not replaced was the dial pointer bulb, as those are prohibitively time consuming to be practical to replace. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves into static 8 & 4 ohm loads! No power supply hum of any kind and was measured @ <2.0mV AC. It's dead silent! All functions test fine. Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours. All functions test perfectly.

On our test bench, each internal amplifier of this particular unit produced peak power of 15.25 volts per channel at 8 ohms for 29 watts and 13.25 volts per channel at 4 ohms for 44 watts via discrete outputs (2x D526 and 2x B596)
