*Note about parts sales

* Our "parts units" & parts are primarily archived for the purpose of restoration / repair of "Oak Tree Vintage" units first. Only if we do not have a "viable" unit in yet, either already in process or in line to be processed, that may potentially need parts from a "parts unit", will we release available parts for sale. As many of you know, the restoration of a unit can be a long, time consuming process. We may "lock up" parts that we may potentially need in the restoration of a unit. Parts are priced by the "potential value" of the unit they can be applicable to (meaning the amount WE would be willing to pay for the part if that was all that was standing between us having a "shelved unit" or a valuable / sellable unit), time to extract, their rarity & their condition to name a few criteria. A non-response to an email request for a part (we may appear to have), likely means that we are still determining which parts we are going to need for the restoration or repair of one of our units. Again, the parts are first for the restoration of our units and secondarily for the public market. Since we list the parts available for ourselves, it is not much effort to modify the menu's for web publication. Frankly, publishing them to the web, in many instances, makes it easier for us to determine if we have the part for our needs as well. The alternative would be to not offer them at all to the public, however most parts are available to the public for sale. Thank you for your understanding.

ALTEC	421-8LF	Woofer   Woofers bass speaker	Cast  aluminum  frame. 421-8LF	12"	Enough	8 Ohms	U	-	SOLD, But more occasionally show up. Check back periodically	Perfect  with  original  cone and  an  aluminum  dust cap.
ALTEC HORN	511B. Horn only. No driver.	Multi- Cellular  Long throw  / wide 90  degree x  40 degree   dispersion	1" throat.	23 3/8" wide x10.5" tall x 14" deep from mounting flange to driver flange. Cell lens protrudes 4.5" from front of mounting flange.	-	-	U	1	$85. As-Is	Horn has large chip on driver mounting flange. Driver can still be mounted and would still function fine. No other cracks or chips.

ALTEC	1956 604 C 604C DUPLEX SPEAKER / ALTEC N-1600A 2-WAY DIVIDING NETWORK /  CROSS- OVER	Co-axial  / Duplex 15"  Woofer with  multi- cellular  horn  tweeter  and 2- way cross- over	604 C  604C /  N-1600A	15" with 2.75 x 6" multi- cellular tweeter horn	-	8 Ohms	U	0	SOLD, But more occasionally show up. Check back periodically	Dated  1956 and looks  NEW- NEW- NEW! Hardly a mark  on it.  The only wear is around  the mounting  holes  (see  photos).   Both woofer  & tweeter  benched  &  work  well!  Dividing  Network also in  great  shape!

The above Altec 604e Duplex drivers were removed from the cabinets they were originally installed into. The cones appear to be original and other than the typical gravity effects on the surround adhesive are in perfect shape with no tears, crinkles, , separations, distortions, splits or major stains. Surrounds are also distortion / separation free. Both tweeter diaphragms are correct Altec's (we have no way to know if they've ever been replaced, but the dust inside the cabinets and on the drivers, did not appear to have ever been disturbed). The speakers are functioning and all drivers were tested with an audio frequency generator and were swept through their frequency bandwidth with no issues. All in all, they are about as clean as a pair as one could ask for!
