  We have completely gone through this unit, cleaning inside and out including all contacts, switches and controls. This is difficult to do on these as it necessitates the removal of the face and associated circuit boards. Only cosmetic issue is a small piece of trim missing from over the function switches (see photos above). Unit looks great! All functions tested for perfect operation. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! Checked with O-Scope. No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent!

While this unit was originally rated at ~100 wpc @ 8Ω, on our test bench, both this unit's amplifiers produced peak power of 30 volts per channel for 112 watts per channel @ 8 Ω via discrete output & 27.7 volts per channel for 192 watts per channel @ 4 Ω via eight discrete, Motorola, Metal cased, (TO-3) MJI5002 & MJI5001 outputs.

Unit works great. Only minor issue is that the "Channel B" input attenuator has a blank spot in the first 40% that does not respond to cleaning. Not an issue once you have amp up to operating level. We have completely gone through the unit cleaning and testing all.

We have complete gone through this unit and bench checked / tested it. Amp has been cleaned inside and out. All functions have been tested and pass with flying colors! Amp designed utilizing twin oversized, vertical finned heat sink for very efficient and silent, passive cooling of output devices. This amplifier is in both great electronic and physical shape. Looks LIKE NEW and sounds fantastic! All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! Following restoration procedures, we burned it in, in the shop at continuous high volume for 4 hours straight and it functioned flawlessly.

On our test bench, this particular unit's (#...7501) amplifiers produced peak power of 33 volts at 8 ohms per channel for 136 watts via dual STK-4044V power amplifier packs.

Great, later model power amp by Mitsubishi. Model M-A4370. HUGE power output! Excellent for 2-channel (stereo) audio listening or for use in an A/V system. Lots of punch and headroom.

All functions tested for perfect operation. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! Unit looks good with some slight scuffing / splotching to the face plate, but nothing too distracting (see photos, upper right). Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours.

On our test bench the internal amplifiers of this particular unit, #...9130, produced 25 volts per channel at 8 ohms for 55 watts per channel, and 21 volts per channel at 4 ohms for 110 watts per channel via STK 2250 power pack

  This unit has had complete service including cleaning everything inside and out. Upon reassembly we also re-soldered the RCA back panel inputs as that's the one design flaw in these amps (the RCA's were never secured to the rear panel except via their solder joints).
All meter back lamps also replaced with new bulbs for years of trouble-free service. Inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves into static 8 & 4 ohm loads! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! All functions test fine. Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load for 48 hours.

  On our test bench the internal amplifiers of this particular unit produced peak power of 35 volts per channel for 153 watts per channel at 8 ohms via discrete outputs @ 1khz.

Lots of punch and headroom!

If you're looking for big and fast power with lots of headroom, then this Proton D-1200 is likely the amp. Lot's of punch and very quick on transients with plenty of headroom above cruising speed.
It is in near NEW cosmetic condition. They huge analog VU meters are back lit in "aqua" and look incredible! Works and sounds great! Unit measures 17" wide x 14.5" deep x 5" high and weighs 33 lbs unpacked. Includes our standard 90 day limited warranty.

On our test bench the internal amplifiers of this particular unit, #...0622, produced 29 volts per channel at 8 ohms for 105 watts per channel and 27 volts at 4 ohms for 182 watts per channel via 8 Discrete outputs (4x 2SB755 and 4x 2SD845)

  Great quality, Harman Kardon, PM660 Integrated Amp. We actually have the matching tuner currently available on our tuners page. Like any good amplifier, what makes this unit stand out is what you don't see. Aspects such as the Dual Power Supply utilizing a huge, Bando BD10A5-000-A transformer; dual, heavily heat sinked rectifiers; 4 large, 63v / 10,000μF filter caps; Dual, efficient, vertically finned output heat sinks; and even oversized heat sinks on the driver transistors! Here's the best aspect of this amp. It has a slew rate of 85 v/msec!
That's F-A-S-T!

  We have completely gone through this unit, cleaning inside and out including all contacts, switches and controls. Switches now clean sounding and performing solidly. Entire output section removed, all output transistors removed with their mica sheets and fresh compound applied. All functions tested for perfect operation. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! Unit looks good with some slight scuffing / splotching to the face plate, but nothing too distracting (see photos, upper right). Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours.

On our test bench the internal amplifiers of this particular unit, #...3881S, produced 24 volts per channel at 8 ohms for 72 watts per channel and 20.5 volts at 4 ohms for 105 watts per channel via 8 discrete outputs (2x A1265, 2x C3263, 2x A1294, 2x C3182)

  Great performing Pioneer Integrated Amplifier. The Pioneer A-60. It has been about 7 years since we've had one of these. We've actually been using it in the shop everyday for the past couple weeks and it's worked flawlessly. The amplifiers of this unit features a "Non-Switching" output section design to eliminate the typical switching distortion of output transistors tuning on and off as the signal swings from positive to negative. Unit works well and sounds great!

We have complete gone through this unit and bench checked / tested it. Amp has been cleaned inside and out. All functions have been tested and pass with flying colors! New heat sink compound installed on outputs. This amplifier is in both great electronic and physical shape. Looks LIKE NEW and sounds fantastic! All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! Following restoration procedures, we burned it in, in the shop at continuous high volume for 4 hours straight and it functioned flawlessly.

On our test bench, this particular unit's amplifiers produced peak power of 38 volts at 8 ohms per channel for 180 watts via dual STK-4048V power amplifier packs. DC offset presents at -7.8vdc Left and -6.7vdc Right.

Great, later model power amp by Sharp. Model SM-77OOCD. HUGE power output! Excellent for 2-channel (stereo) audio listening or for use in an A/V system. Lots of punch and headroom.

  We have completely gone through this unit, cleaning inside and out including all contacts, switches and controls. We also re-soldered all I/O jack connections on circuit board for trouble-free service. Only cosmetic issue is a small ding in the top sheet metal cover and some white "splotching" on the bottom sheet metal plate. Neither normally seen. Overall, the unit looks great! All functions tested for perfect operation. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! Checked with O-Scope. No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent!

  Yamaha CX-1000U Analog / Digital Capable, Stereo Pre-amp / control center. This is a very well built unit featuring a "Dual Power Supply" utlilizing twin, well shielded, power transformers and Double Filtering Caps with values of 6,200μF each for a total capacitance of 24,800μF and that's for a "pre-amp"! Most electrolytic caps are Elna brand, and many are "audio grade Duorex". Internally the unit features more metal shielding than we've ever seen on any unit. More even than any of the old Pioneer SX-XX50 series receivers or the original Marantz Blue Face Receivers. Another great feature of this pre-amp is something that Yamaha still uses on much of their older gear and that is most of the I/O jacks are directly screwed to the rear sheet metal, which relieves strain on the solder joints. To save money, most manufacturers have long since abandoned this practice, but it's a design issue that's overlooked by most "mass market" consumers. All of this evidenced by it's weight of 23 lbs (more than many receivers).
  Features include:

- Capable of both Analog and Digital Sources
- Separate Bass, and Treble Controls
