A NOTE ABOUT VINTAGE / USED / OLD ROTATING CHRISTMAS TREE STANDS We selectively purchase rotating tree stands from the late 1950's and early 1960's. Rotating tree stands have complicated motor / gearbox mechanisms for rotation. They also contain wires carrying 120 Volts AC. We disassemble, clean and re-lube every rotating tree stand that comes through. We also address any electrical issues such as frayed or brittle AC cords, internal wires, and intermittent switches. Most of the stands we buy are from sellers who said that "they work fine". When we get them, that is commonly not the case, or even if it is, it wouldn't have been for long. These stands have lubrications that are 40+ years old! At even half that age, most have started to turn to varnish. Some are so stiff that they are effectively "frozen" immobile. Most are held together, not with screws or bolts, but with rivets which must be drilled out. The typical stand requires 2-4 hours of labor to bring back to life (unless it needs to be re-finished, which can double or triple that time). There are some NEW, Chinese built stands of plastic on the market in the $80-$150 region, but from what we've been told, they do not turn a full, continuous 360 degrees and certainly do not offer AC outlets that rotate with the collar. Vintage tree stands can be great investments as they're all metal and made in the USA with 1950's / 1960's quality, but will need to have the "clock rolled back" about 40 years, just as the one's we offer have been, to be safe, usable and reliable. Circa 1961 per date on motor Made in Chicago, IL U.S.A. for sale We have completely disassembled the motor, gear box, and main shaft turning mechanism, cleaned the old lube from everything, re-lubed and reassembled with new rivets. We also burnished the 360˚ AC trace and AC pickup brushes on the rotating AC outlet for trouble-free operation. Stand motor, gear box and music box all work great now and should for years to come. Original retro, Holly Time, "Tree Turner", Model B-71, rotating Christmas tree stand. Great original shape. This is one of the heavier duty, rotating stands ever made. Has a rotating AC outlet to plug in tree lights that turns with the tree (means that the tree can turn continuously 360˚ (clockwise) and not wrap up the AC light wire. Also has a separate AC outlet for your color wheel or other accessories. Both outlets and rotating motor switched independently. Will work with Aluminum tree or plastic trees (not for "real" trees as it does not have a water reservoir. Motor is silent and smooth in motion, and stand makes no noise when operating. Original "Gold", with glitter finish in "fair" shape with some wear. No dents or rust! Features (according to original printed material) - Full 360 Rotation - Fully rotating AC outlet - 3 switches for AC outlets and motor - 18" diameter - Fits trunks up to ~ 1 7/8" in diameter - UL Approved - Turns Clockwise - Electric Motor @ 110VAC - Color Wheel Outlet Again, we have completely overhauled and fully tested this stand. STATIONARY (NON-ROTATING) Circa 1960's Made in Wisconsin U.S.A. for sale Original retro, "Gold-Lite", Christmas tree stand. Great original shape. Has 3 AC outlets to plug in your tree lights. Will work with Artificial Plastic, Aluminum, or "Real" trees. Metallic Gold finish in good shape with normal scuffs and wear. No significant rust or dents. All outlets work well. AC cord has built-in switch. This a stationary stand and does not spin or play music. Measures 17" in diameter and ~5.5" tall. Cond. 8 $59.
(click on above thumbnails to enlarge photos) ORIGINAL VINTAGE "STAR-BELL" MODEL No. 69-RM SOLD ROTATING CHRISTMAS TREE STAND WITH MUSIC Circa 1960's-early '70's. for sale Very nice condition STAR BELL Model 69-RM revolving Christmas Tree Stand that plays Jingle Bells on built-in music box. AC powered. Has built-in AC outlet for tree lights that turns with tree. Music can be turned on or off. Makes a complete rotation in 2 minutes. All metal construction, built in the USA. These were notorious for having the welds break on the tightening bolts and this one has had the nuts re-welded for years more use. Fits trees up to 3.75" in diameter. Supposedly they were designed for artificial or natural trees, but you are not supposed to put water in them so probably best used only for artificial trees or natural trees that you don't need looking good for a long time. Original Gold finish with Silver Sparkles looks great. Unit looks and works great. (does not include plastic adaptor ring for smaller diameter trees, but still holds them fine).
