All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves into static 8 & 4 ohm loads! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! Unit looks and sounds great. Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours. On our test bench, each internal amplifier of this particular unit produced peak power of 19.5 volts per channel @ 8 Ω for 47 watts per channel and 14 volts per channel @ 4 Ω for 47 watts per channel via discrete, output devices. ____________________________ Great quality, early 80's silver face Denon DRA-400 Digital AM / FM receiver. LOADED with features. We had to look hard through our archives to find the last unit that had this many features. This unit was actually built by Technics and branded MCS. Great build quality inside and out. Very elegant unit when lit in a darkened room. All internal control pots and switches are super quality. All Dial / Meter lamps replaced as well as the AM Function, FM Function and FM Stereo Indicator for trouble free service. We also aligned the tuner front-end for optimum AM & FM performance as older internal tuner components have always drifted on vintage gear over the years. The tuner works exceptionally well in our all metal warehouse. Picks up both AM and FM bands way above average!!! Only issue with this unit is one of the clip buttons on the "B" speaker bank is missing from the rear. Clip still functions, but does not have it's plastic tab. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! All functions test fine. While this unit was originally rated at 120 wpc, on our test bench, this particular unit, #...3402's amplifiers produced 37 volts per channel at 8 ohms for 171 watts per channel & 31 volts at 4 ohms for 240 watts per channel via discrete, TO-3, metal-cased output devices. (4x 2SB655A & 4x 2SD675A) ____________________________ Up to 1981, this was the pinnacle of Realistic's offerings. The STA-2100D. The "D" is for Dolby FM. There was a non-"D" 2100 in '80. These things are monsters for power. This one also features an exceptional tuner. All the pots, controls and construction quality in general is way above average! NEW ADDITION 6/5/08 (Click on above thumbnails to enlarge photos) warranty VINTAGE TOSHIBA STEREO RECEIVER SA-420 SA420 #...0551 SOLD 1/23/09 Circa 1978-81 for sale Receiver has had complete service including all switches, contacts, and controls cleaned for static free performance, complete cleaning inside and out, All dial, meter, indicator, and FM Stereo lamps replaced with new units for years of trouble-free service. All other indicator lamps checked. We also aligned the tuner front-end for optimum performance as older tuner components have drifted over the years. VERY GOOD TUNER! AM reception above average, FM reception incredible and IMPECCABLY CLEAN!!! All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves into static 8 & 4 ohm loads! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! All functions test fine. Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours. All functions test perfectly. On our test bench, each internal amplifier of this particular unit produced peak power of 18.5 volts at 8 ohms per channel for 42 watts / channel and 15 volts at 4 ohms per channel for 56 watts / channel via discrete epoxy outputs. ____________________________ This Toshiba SA-402 is a great performing and looking receiver. Has that great "analog" feel and all the features generally associated with the classic 1970's stereo receivers. Has that great milled aluminum look in a "Wood-Grain" vinyl wrapped case. Features include: Features include: - Weighted flywheel, slide rule analog tuning - A, B, A+B & speaker Off speaker selector - Separate Bass and Treble - Dual back-lit analog VU Power Level meters - Analog VU Signal Strength and Tuning meters - Low Filter built-in to reduce turn-table and speaker rumble - Hi filter for reducing tape hiss / electronic hiss & noise and record static -FM muting (separate from Stereo / Mono selector) - Dual tape deck monitors with Tape 1 to Tape 2 dubbing (Tape Monitors can be used with Video / CD / DVD / VCR / DAT / iPod / MP3 / XM / SIRUS CDR (CD recorders as well as for inserting signal processors, such as EQ's, Reverbs, Spatial Enhancers / Dynamic Processors, Noise Reduction units, Special Effects units, Time Delays, etc) (Tape 2 has both RCA and DIN I/O's - Stereo / Mono mode selector (separate from FM Muting) - "Loudness" function to boost Bass and Treble in relationship to Mid frequencies at lower volume levels for a much fuller sound. - Phono / Turntable input - AUX Input (may also be used for Video / CD / DVD / VCR / DAT / MP3 / XM / SIRUS etc.) - Rear located speaker protection fuses - Rear located AC convenience outlet ( un-switched) for a total AC current capacity of 100 watts worth of accessories Original Specs: POWER / PRE AMP SPECIFICATIONS: THD utilizing AUX; 0.050% @ full rated power / 20-20kHz Freq Response of power amp section; @ full rated power 20-20kHz Rated Power; 25 wpc @ 8 ohms @ 20-20kHz PHONO SECTION SPECS; S/N; 70 dB Again, we have completely gone through this Toshiba SA-420 stereo receiver. This unit is in great cosmetic and electronic condition. Face is perfect as are the original milled aluminum knobs! Performs wonderfully and sounds GREAT!!!
