warrantyPRE-OWNED KENWOOD / TRIO KENWOOD KL 777A 777 A STEREO SPEAKERS Pair 3 #...0475 & ...0998 SOLD 1/12/09 Circa Mid-Late 1970's for sale Classic lattice grill, vintage & large Kenwood KL-777A stereo speakers. 4-Way, 6-Speaker / Driver, Air-Suspension design. These are VERY efficient speakers with above average tone balance for late '70's speakers. Plenty of top end that can be filtered / tailored to your tastes with built-in attenuator or external EQ / tone control. Also HUGE & tight low end, likely due to the "Air-Suspension" cabinet design. They also seem to be able to handle "power" better than your average speaker. Not simply referring to they're wattage rating, but just the way the perform at higher power / volume levels without "falling apart" sonically. Among the top performers of the many speakers we have auditioned over the years. Only issue with this pair is a missing vertical slat from one of the grills and a stain on the cloth behind the slats. Features: - 14" Non-deteriorating Cloth surround Woofer - Dual 4.5" Non-deteriorating, paper surround Mids - 1.5" Mylar Cone Tweeter - Dual 5/8", 360 degree Radial Horn Super Tweeters with Diffusion grills - "Real" internal cross-over, not just a couple of "caps" on the mids and tweets - 3-position Hi frequency attenuators, using resistors, not failure prone Ni-Chrome wire, for custom tailoring sound to your tastes and listening room - Vented / cloth woofer dust cap for increasing low end efficiency Specs are as follows: Speaker System: 4-Way / 6-Driver Cabinet type design: Acoustic Suspension Frequency Response: 25-22,000Hz Efficiency: 102dB! 1w @ 1m Nominal Impedance: 8Ω each Max rated power capabilities: 110 watts Very nice looking wood grain, vinyl wrap cabinets. Poly molded grills also in great shape and solid. Features a true 4-way cross-over for super clean response especially in the "low end". As mentioned earlier, the only cosmetic issues with this pair is a missing vertical slat from one of the grills, a "coffee cup" sized stain on that cloth behind the slats and the "Kenwood" badge is missing. The cabinets look near NEW. All drivers are in perfect condition, work and sound fine! Tested for all frequencies with a sweep generator. Speakers look and sound GREAT! Huge, accurate and loud sound. If you're looking for a great performing speaker at medium to higher volume applications, you will not be disappointed with these speakers. Each measures 25" tall x 16.5" wide x 11.5" deep and weighs 40 lbs unpacked.
