Hey Oak Tree. "Why all this old PA gear? Why don't I just get one of those new, shiny and cheaper models from one of the new, big-box whorehouses" (no slight meant on that oldest of professions) I sold this gear for years and watched the evolution from quality US and Japanese built gear to cheap Chinese trash, built to last only a handful of years. Any of us experienced audio guys can also appreciate the more precision, sturdy "feel" of the older, better built gear. That's all I'll say about that.
WORLDS BEST RACK SCREWS WE MEAN IT!!! Yeah I know it's just a rack screw, but if like me you've put in many hundreds or thousands of rack screws you know that a good percentage of them will cross-thread as soon as you start them. These will reduce the number of cross threaded starts you will have by many fold. They can even be successfully used to "fix" already cross-threaded holes. The main reason these are different is that their shaft is tapered smaller than the threads so it starts more accurately resulting in much fewer cross-threads. Due to the tapering it is also easier to start one of these screws when you have the screw gun or driver in one hand with the screw already stuck to the end, and the piece of gear in the other doing a "balancing act" while trying to get the threads started. You can also have less fear starting these with a power driver. No more "gingerly" starting all you screws with a manual driver then switching to your power driver. These also feature an oversized head with matching nylon washer, great for worn, enlarged, or oversized holes in gear. I bet you never thought anyone could talk this long about something a simple as a rack screw, but these things really are the best I've ever encountered. Each is finished in a durable semi-gloss black coating and comes with size matched nylon bushing. They are designed for standard US threaded racks and will even fit SKB type clips. If you use the lower ones, gravity will take care of the top. If there is any chance the rack will be tipped, rolled, inverted, knocked over or moved dynamically in any other way, then all screw holes should be utilized.

Like new condition. 20 channels, 16 XLR sends x 4 TRS, 1/4" returns. All sends and returns are 2 pair, 24g, 100% foil shielded with gnd. As it's 100% foil shielded, it is VERY efficient at rejecting RFI (means you won't be picking up any country stations through your PA, due to the snake). All the XLR jacks are double riveted to the steel box, and the 1/4" returns feature locks. We also did some of our standard custom mods we have done to most of the new snakes we have ordered throughout the years. We re-installed the 1/4" male returns as most from the factory are done kind of "half-as__d". They will need fewer repairs over the years after we did the mods. We also grouped them by 4's in short fans to reduce tangles. The entire cable is in LIKE NEW condition. No dings to the box, or breaks / bends to the jacks or plugs. The outside cable jacket is cut free. One great thing about this series of cable is that the fan outs are labeled by channel number along their entire length. This snake is ready to use! (Click on above thumbnails to enlarge photos) 16 GAUGE STEEL 4-SPACE GEAR RACK SOLD	(Click on above thumbnails to enlarge photos) warranty APOLLO PORTABLE PA / TAPE DECK FOR SALE This British made, self-contained public address system with built-in cassette deck puts out an incredible amount of sound, and that's coming from someone who has sold PA systems for the past 15 years from a few hundred dollars to many tens of thousands of dollars. It would be great for an auctioneer, portable ministry, aerobics, small gathering speaking, bingo, or any other use where a portable, light-weight system that can handle up to about 75 people would be needed. Not only is it loud, but remains VERY clear at higher volumes. The built-in tape decks sound can be mixed with the microphone / keyboard / guitar inputs like a Karoke machine. There are two 1/4" phono (guitar plug) inputs, as well as two RCA inputs (one low and one hi). There is also a 1/4" line input. Outputs include 1/4" phono, RCA, headphone, and an extension speaker output capable of handling a 4 ohm load (which could equal two 8ohm speakers). The output sound is via a heavy-duty 8" speaker. The tape deck features "Soft-Touch" transport controls, a tape counter, cue / review, one-touch-recording, and full auto stop. The carrying handle swings out of the way for use. Besides the grounded AC cord, there is a top mounted receptacle for a 12-24 DC power input, which means with the right Radio Shack adaptor, it could be used on a cigarette lighter. The unit is built exceptionally well. This is not some cheap Asian import. This was used by a public school system until recently. It is in great shape, and everything works perfectly. We just went through it completely, cleaning and reconditioning the tape deck, and all the switches and controls. The only issue is the speaker grill plastic is wearing out and will need to have it's edges taped or glued. This is only cosmetic and does not affect performance. We are also including a Shure LP300 XLR professional "Live Sound" hand-held microphone with lockable on-off switch and also comes with a cable and bag. If you need a portable PA system to address a small group you will not be disappointed. This will compare to some of the small/mid sized keyboard / acoustic amps available that are much heavier and do not have tape decks built-in. I have sold the Trace Elliots, Crates, Peaveys, and Fenders (which are all great companies) and this is very comparable and lighter!!!
